Sarah Palin could be the next face of “The View,” if ABC catches the hints the former Alaskan governor has dropped lately.

“I hear everyone recently got canned from ’The View’ — maybe a show like that needs a punch of reality and a voice of reason from America’s heartland to knock some humble sense into their scripts,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “You know, someone willing to go rogue.”

Barbara Walters has semi-retired from the show, while Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy are poised to exit, too. Show producers haven’t announced the replacements and are said to be actively seeking out suitable co-hosts, Mediaite reported.

This isn’t the first time talk has sprouted about Mrs. Palin and “The View.” In June 2013, Breitbart reported that the former vice presidential contender was offered a guest-hosting slot but declined because of a scheduling conflict.
