A new poll shows that almost half of likely U.S. voters say that the Obama administration is responsible for the increase in illegal immigrant children from Central America that are trying to cross into the United States.

The Rasmussen Reports poll showed that 46 percent of those surveyed think the administration’s rhetoric and policy positions have promoted the increase in illegal immigrant children, compared to 31 percent who disagree.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters was conducted July 6 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
