Welcome to the latest edition of The Rusty Humphries Rebellion. In today’s briefing, my exclusive video interview with documentarian Joel Gilbert.

Mr. Gilbert’s new documentary, “There’s No Place Like Utopia,” is a fresh, fast-paced, insightful look at the folly that is socialism.
With a brilliant use of man-on-the-street interviews, archival footage and experts in the field of the “Vast LEFT Wing Conspiracy,” Mr. Gilbert travels across the USA showing, quite convincingly, that the attempt of creating a utopia on earth has been a disaster. We see the damage Progressives have caused to America and her citizens through poverty, poor education and an elite class, including Barack Obama, that does little that it promises.
Mr. Gilbert finds humor and human horror throughout his journeys in Detroit, Washington, D.C., Hollywood, and even his own hometown in Tennessee.
One of the more shocking discoveries is his interview with Peggy “Obama’s gonna pay for my gas and mortgage” Joseph, who at a Florida Obama rally got so swept up in the emotion of the event told a TV reporter that “If we just take care of Obama, he’ll take care of us.” She now is solidly anti-Obama and believes he has caused far more damage to our republic than she ever could have imagined.
Mr. Gilbert’s gutsy style is apparent throughout the film, including knocking on the door of Marian Shields Robinson, Michelle Obama’s mother, who surprisingly answers the door! Mr. Gilbert has long promoted his theory that a well-known communist, Frank Marshall Davis, and not Barack Obama Sr. is the real father of President Obama. While speaking to Mrs. Robinson, Mr. Gilbert gives her a copy of his previous film, “Dreams From My REAL Father,” which investigates his theory in-depth.
While watching this film I had a few non-political friends with me. They were astounded at the Obama clips, comments and attitudes that many politically active conservatives would be well aware of. Mr. Gilbert weaves them into his story in a way that both political junkies and novices will find both interesting and entertaining.
