A YouTube video that shows a Cleveland Browns fan urinating on the grave of former Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell has outraged the social media world.

In the video, a man under the YouTube handle “BrownsFan4Life” rips off his Ravens jersey to reveal a Browns jersey underneath. He then reportedly uses a catheter and a tube in his pants to urinate on the grave of Mr. Modell.

“As far as [urinating] on your grave, I had no choice,” he tells the camera, a local CBS affiliate reported.

Mr. Modell’s son David called the act “incredibly distasteful, revolting, and mean-spirited.”

“We will file charges,” he told The Baltimore Sun. “Absolutely will file charges. Whatever we can throw at him, that’s what’s going to happen.”

Baltimore County police are investigating whether a crime was committed.

“There is a statute on the books that regulates disorderly or indecent conduct in a cemetery,” county police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said in an email to The Sun on Wednesday. “They have to look at the video to see if the behavior depicted fits the statute. … Also, Pikesville officers are reaching out to the cemetery to see if they wish to pursue the matter, if indeed a crime did occur.”

A Druid Ridge Cemetery spokeswoman called the fan’s actions “disappointing and disrespectful.”

“We take the safety and security of our park very seriously,” Kim Tarleton told The Sun. “However, cemeteries, by their nature, are open to the public, so it would be unrealistic to restrict all access to the property.”

In a statement to the CBS affiliate, Ravens officials say “the Ravens and the Modell family are aware of the video and security for both the Ravens and the Modell family are investigating the incident.”
