Sarah Palin jokingly blamed Sammy Hagar for contributing to her lead foot that earned her a $154 speeding ticket last week.

The former Alaska governor explained to TMZ that Mr. Hagar’s “I Can’t Drive 55” came on the oldies station just before she was pulled over going 63 in a 45 mph zone in her hometown of Wasilla.

“I wasn’t speeding, I was qualifying,” she told the website.

Mrs. Palin said she will pay the $154 ticket immediately.
