The head of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant sent out a new battle cry to Muslim followers, ordering them to rush to “your state” and take control, characterizing terrorism as an honorable endeavor.

Specifically, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi said: “Rush, O Muslims, to your state. Yes, it is your state,” NBC News reported. He then described terrorism as an honorable undertaking for Muslims and said all true believers should “insist upon your rights.”

Finally, he said the world is torn in two, with Islam on one side and the forces of “disbelief and hypocrisy” on the other — a thinly veiled reference to the United States, Israel and Russia, NBC News said.

The statement came as a formal message for Ramadan on a jihadist website.

The translated statement also read: “The Muslims today have a loud, thundering statement, and possess heavy boots. They have a statement that will cause the world to hear and understand the meaning of terrorism, and boots that will trample the idol of nationalism, destroy the idol of democracy and uncover its deviant nature.”
