A correspondent with CNN reporting from Gaza gave a rundown of the latest in rocket fire being traded between Israel and Hamas, then took to Twitter to give her opinion of Israelies who cheered about bomb hits: They’re “scum,” she wrote.

Shortly after, she deleted the tweet, various media reported.

Breitbart reported that CNN’s Diana Magnay reported live from Gaza, with rockets blasting in the background: “I think you can probably see there are lots of Israelis gathered around who are cheering when they see these kinds of Israeli strikes.”

She also called the situation and scene “macabre,” Breitbart reported.

Just moments after cutting her microphone, she posted on Twitter her personal assessment of the situation: “Israelis on hill above Serdot cheer as bombs land on Gaza; threaten to ’destroy our car if I say a word wrong.’ Scum.”

The tweet was only posted for a few minutes before it was deleted.
