OPINION:
“Fewer abortion clinics in minority communities: study” (Web, July 11) reports that 36 percent of abortions in the United States are performed on black women. Approximately one-third of the black population in the United States is missing because of the 19 million abortions that have been performed on black women since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. If Obamacare is fully implemented, the number of abortions, including those performed on black women, will probably increase.
At the same time, thousands of Hispanic immigrants have come into the United States over our southern border. The Democratic Party doesn’t want to close the border, and now wants funding to help settle the many illegal-alien children arriving daily. It appears to me that the pro-abortion Democratic Party is trying to reduce the number of black Americans and replace them with Hispanics. This has me confused, because Democrats like to paint themselves as the pro-black party.
