Although she touched on the Middle East crisis, her time as secretary of state and even her “dead broke” gaffe, Hillary Rodham Clinton gave no hint about any presidential aspirations during her Tuesday interview with Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show,” The Associated Press reported.

That was not for Mr. Stewart’s lack of trying. AP reported that throughout the interview he kept bringing up the topic of a 2016 run, asking whether she preferred her offices with corners or without, and while discussing her book “Hard Choices” saying at one point, “I think I speak for everybody when I say, ’No one cares [about the book], they just want to know if you’re running for president.’”

However, Mrs. Clinton would not give up the goods. She refused to announce her run on the evening current events talk show, leaving viewers to continue speculating about her plans.

Mrs. Clinton last appeared on “The Daily Show” in 2008, when she was running for president.

The interview with Mr. Stewart will air Tuesday night.
