Coco Brown, one of the most downloaded porn stars in history, has a new role: Come 2015, she may very well be the next Space Expedition Corp. trainee, with a $100,000 check that will send her to space.

Ms. Brown is paying the money to train for a March 2015 flight, The New York Post reported.

“It’s just the pilot and me,” said Ms. Brown, in The New York Post. “I’m the co-pilot. We take off from Curacao and land an hour and a half later.”

Ms. Brown — a.k.a. Honey Love — performed in 40 adult films, but quit 10 years ago and moved to Germany and launched a music career.

“People to this day think I’m still doing movies,” she said, in The New York Post. “I still look like I did in my films, thank you, and maybe because I’m the only chocolate girl in porn in Germany.”

Ms. Brown is headed to New York on Jan. 14 for a “launch” party, she said. And the genesis for her interest in space travel?

“I saw the movie ’Space Camp’ when I was a kid,” she said. “I always wanted to get closer to the stars — or be a star.”

Space Expedition Corp. isn’t affiliated with the federal government, but is rather a private company with various partners in the space industry. The group describes its mission on its website as providing “opportunities to safeguard the future and welfare of our planet, every day and everywhere. These days, space is no longer the exclusive domain of governments and institutions like NASA and ESA. It is rapidly coming within reach of private organizations and people. … Space Expedition Corporation strives to facilitate this exciting new global trend.”
