At least nine people, including children, were killed in a Monday explosion at a residence in northwestern Pakistan, in the Khyber tribal area.

The blast occurred in an area that has seen heavy clashes between military forces and Taliban militants, BBC reported.

BBC also reported that some of those killed included militants. But what’s not known is who owned the house — the Taliban or civilians.

Officials are on scene investigating, BBC said.
