NEW YORK (AP) - New York City’s new mayor is set to make his debut on The Daily Show.
Bill de Blasio (dih BLAH’-zee-oh) will sit down with Jon Stewart on Monday for a taping of the hit Comedy Central program.
De Blasio and his family have become frequent topics for Stewart on the late night show.
During the election, Stewart sported a fake Afro wig as a tribute to the mayor’s teenage son, Dante, who starred in an iconic campaign ad.
Earlier this month Stewart mocked de Blasio for being photographed eating pizza with a knife and fork.
De Blasio may join in on the humor. He often cracks jokes during his press conferences. Not all elicit much laughter.
His predecessor Michael Bloomberg also visited the New York based show.
