ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York state police will be watching out for drunk and distracted drivers over the Super Bowl weekend.

The statewide crackdown on DWI and texting-while-driving violators starts Friday and runs through Monday. The Super Bowl is on Sunday. State police will work with county sheriff and local law enforcement agencies across the state over the three days.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is urging drivers to plan ahead for Super Bowl parties and to use caution when travelling.
