LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service says Arkansas could see snow, sleet and freezing rain in two rounds of wintry weather during the weekend and early next week.

Forecasters say rain is likely Friday and Saturday before a cold front moves through the state. On Sunday afternoon, many areas could see snowfall.

The weather service says the best chances for snowfall are on a line north and west from Arkadelphia to Pine Bluff to Brinkley. Snow is also possible Sunday night along a line from Mena to Little Rock to Augusta. But the weather service notes that the forecast may change in the coming days.

On Monday night and Tuesday, freezing rain is expected in northern and central Arkansas, with the southern part of the state seeing rain.
