NEW YORK (AP) - New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (dih BLAH’-zee-oh) says marijuana won’t be sold at the corner bodega any time soon.

De Blasio was asked about legalized weed Friday on hip-hop radio station Hot 97.

One of the hosts asked whether he would ever be able to go to a bodega “and get me some herb.”

De Blasio said he doesn’t think it will happen “any time soon.” He added, “I’m sorry to let you down.”

De Blasio said he supports Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s plan to allow hospitals to dispense the drug to people with certain illnesses.
