Rob Ford, the Toronto mayor who made international headlines after admitting he smoked crack while drunk, now has a new scandal at his door: He’s being sued by his sister’s ex-boyfriend.

Why?

Scott MacIntyre, the ex-boyfriend, claims Mr. Ford was the brains behind the brawn in a jailhouse beating he suffered in March 2012, CBS reported. Mr. MacIntyre said Mr. Ford arranged for the attack as a means of keeping him quiet about the mayor’s drug and alcohol use.

Specifically, Mr. MacIntyre said he was threatened with “dire consequences” if he didn’t hush, and he’s suing the mayor on charges related to conspiracy, CBS reported.

Mr. Ford’s attorney said the allegations are “without fact or foundation,” the media outlet reported.
