Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander sparked a flurry of rumors when they were spotted together in front of a Tom’s Restaurant in New York City earlier this month.

Now, Mr. Seinfeld is making it official: A “Seinfeld” reunion is in the works.

The comedian appeared on the “Boomer & Carton” radio show on WFAN on Thursday morning to lay to rest some of the rumors swirling around the photos of the pair at Tom’s restaurant — one being that the two were working on an episode of Mr. Seinfeld’s hit Web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” Variety reported.

He was scarce on the details for the new project, but he did say that “Seinfeld’s” quirky character George Costanza, played by Mr. Alexander, would be returning, among other memorable characters.

“He described the project as ’short-ish form,’ a ’one-and-done’ thing involving Larry David in some way that will be made available ’very, very soon,’ ” Variety reported.
