FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Fargo police have a new tool for citizens to track crime.

The department is launching a smartphone application meant to provide up-to-date information on police business.

Fargo Police Chief Keith Ternes is scheduled to demonstrate the app at a Thursday morning news conference.

The fire departments from Fargo and neighboring Moorhead, Minn., recently unveiled an app to assist people in emergency situations.
