IRVINE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a former teacher at a Southern California Catholic high school has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for posing as a girl on Facebook to get nude photos and videos from more than 100 underage boys.

The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/1kcLnmf) 31-year-old Zachary Reeder was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to felonies including using a minor for sex acts and possession and control of child pornography.

Prosecutors say the former history teacher at Anaheim’s Servite High School created a Facebook account and pretended to be a blonde girl to get boys as young as 14 to send photos.

It’s not believed Reeder had any in-person contact with the boys.

He was also sentenced to mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.
