MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama largest farm organization is putting its support behind four candidates in the upcoming state elections.
The Alabama Farmers Federation says its political action committee decided to endorse state Rep. John Merrill for secretary of state, Adam Thompson for state auditor, incumbent Jeremy Oden for re-election to Place 1 on the Public Service Commission and Chip Beeker for Place 2 on the PSC.
Merrill and Thompson are running for offices where the incumbents are not seeking re-election. Beeker is challenging incumbent Terry Dunn for the PSC.
All four candidates endorsed by the Alabama Farmers Federation are Republicans.
