TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State University’s satellite campus in Tulsa is slated to celebrate its 15th anniversary in the city.

The ceremony for OSU-Tulsa is Wednesday at the Helmerich Research Center located on its campus.

The event will mark 15 years since the school opened in downtown Tulsa and will honor five people who contributed to the creation and early development of the university.

Those to be honored include: Oklahoma State Sen. Jim Halligan, former OSU president; Charles Ford, former state lawmaker and author of the Senate bill that created OSU-Tulsa and Penny Williams, former state lawmaker from Tulsa who co-authored the bill creating the school.

Frank Keating, the former Oklahoma governor who provided executive leadership for the school’s creation, and Dr. Gary Trennepohl, the first president of OSU-Tulsa, round out the honorees.
