I have just read for the umpteenth time that a Democrat has accused the Tea Party of not allowing President Obama to put his policies into effect (“Schumer: Tea party hasn’t let Obama put his policies into effect,” Web, Jan. 27).

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi recently said the “anti-Obama” GOP erects a brick wall to Mr. Obama’s policies. Hallelujah.

Apparently what the Democrats do not understand is that this is exactly what at least half of the county — and I truly believe the percentage is more than that — wants. The GOP, which includes some Tea-Party-minded people as well as independents, knows it does not have the White House or the Senate.

So as long as that is the case, the only tool it has is this “brick wall” to try to stop Mr. Obama’s socialistic plans. Every time I hear or read about this wall, I applaud the GOP.
