HINDMAN, Ky. (AP) - A wall on display in eastern Kentucky focuses on the successes of people fighting addiction and offers support for families and friends.

The UNITE Hope Hall was unveiled in August and is in the Knott County Judicial Center through Friday.

The wall shows pictures of about 150 people who are now in recovery.

Knott County Sheriff Dale Richardson says the wall will make an impact if it only motivates a few people to be treated or encourages those already in treatment or recovery.

UNITE President and CEO Dan Smoot says most of the people on the wall have received a treatment voucher to help with recovery. The vouchers are available to low-income residents of the 32 counties served by UNITE.

UNITE stands for Unlawful Narcotics Investigations, Treatment and Education and is a regional anti-drug initiative.
