AURORA, Ill. (AP) - An Illinois Tollway employee has died after a crash on Interstate 88 in Aurora. An Illinois State Police trooper has been seriously injured.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports (https://bit.ly/L5jFuN) the accident happened about 9:30 p.m. Monday east of the Eola Road exit.
State police spokeswoman Monique Bond says the tollway employee was pronounced dead at the scene. The trooper is hospitalized and in serious condition.
No further details about the crash were immediately available.
The accident forced the temporary closure of all eastbound I-88 lanes and some westbound lanes.
