Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, admitted to reporters Tuesday afternoon that he’s nodded off during past State of the Union speeches – but never one of President Obama’s.

When asked if there was anything he hoped the president didn’t say tonight, he said he didn’t want the president to have to single him out for being asleep.

“The only thing that would ever trouble me is if he said: ’Reid, stop dozing off.’” he said. “I’ve frankly dozed off once or twice, not during the Obama years of course.”

Staying awake hopefully won’t be too much trouble this year since Mr. Reid said he heard the speech is “not going be very long.”
