JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant is delaying the start of work until noon Wednesday for most state government employees who live in areas affected by snow and ice.

Bryant says agency directors have discretion to bring in some workers before that time. The directors were told to notify the employees who need to arrive before noon.

The governor says agency directors also have the power to keep offices closed all day Wednesday, depending on weather and road conditions.
