PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia has sold its former headquarters in Parkersburg to Siltstone Holdings LLC.

Built in 1903, the seven-story building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s been vacant since Highmark moved into a new headquarters across the street in 2009.

The Parkersburg News and Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1d5NB0C ) reports that Siltstone Holdings paid $475,000 for the building and a parking lot.

Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell tells the newspaper that Siltstone plans to initially locate offices in the building. He says having the building occupied is good news for downtown businesses and the city.

Siltstone Holdings is affiliated with investment and advisory firm Siltstone Capital.
