CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Maggie Hassan is going to be talking about a New Hampshire program that helps jobless workers continue to get unemployment benefits while they start their own businesses.
Last July, she signed into law the Pathway to Work Program, which provides financial support while participants access the resources, information, and training they need to get their businesses off the ground.
At least eight states - Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Louisiana - have similar programs.
Hassan is holding a news conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Legislative Office Building.
