ATLANTA (AP) - The American Legion is hosting a town hall in Atlanta to discuss the quality of care being offered at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday at American Legion Post 1 on Shallowford Road.
Organizers say each year, officials with the organization’s System Worth Saving Task Force visit about 15 VA medical centers nationwide to evaluate the quality of care being offered to veterans. This year, officials are visiting centers in Atlanta and Augusta, both of which have come under recent scrutiny for quality of service and backlogs for certain procedures.
A meeting in Augusta is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m.
