MILWAUKEE (AP) - President Barack Obama’s approval rating is down among registered Wisconsin voters.
A Marquette University law school poll released Monday says Obama’s approval rating has fallen to 44 percent. Fifty percent disapprove of the job he’s doing.
In October, before the flawed rollout of the federal health care exchanges, 49 percent approved of Obama and 46 percent disapproved. Those numbers were in line with his average approval ratings in Wisconsin over the past two years.
The poll also revealed a decrease in support for health care reform. The poll says 35 percent of respondents have a favorable view of the law and 56 have an unfavorable view. Three months ago, 42 percent had a favorable impression and 48 an unfavorable view.
The poll of 802 registered voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
