RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Bank of America Corp. is cutting more than 100 jobs in Henrico County and Norfolk.

Bank spokeswoman Jumana Bauwens tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1e0hh5r ) that the layoffs include 103 workers at the Villa Park campus in northern Henrico County and 15 workers in Norfolk.

The workers are employed in mortgage operations.

Bank of America and other banks have been dealing with fewer delinquent loans and fewer mortgage refinancings.

Bauwens says the bank had to retool and adjust its workforce. She says 540 workers at the Villa Park site will transfer to the banking side of credit and consumer deposits.

She says the bank is working to identify opportunities inside and outside the bank for workers being laid off.
