MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Jeffery Moss and Cameron Payne both scored 16 points as Murray State won its eighth straight, turning away Jacksonville State, 73-65 Saturday night.

Brian Williams made the first of two free throws with 41 seconds left to cut the Racers’ lead to four points, 69-65, but Jarvis Williams hit a pair of free throws and capped the scoring with a dunk to put the game away.

Darion Rackley was fouled on a 3-point attempt and converted all three free throws, then added a layup to give Jacksonville State the lead, 44-41 with under 15 minutes to play, but Murray State answered with a 10-0 run to take control.

Jarvis Williams scored 13 points and Dexter Fields added 10 as Murray State (12-8, 7-1 Ohio Valley) opened a three-game West Division lead.
