MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Jack Morris will be back in Minnesota this season working with the Twins broadcast team.

The Twins announced Friday that Morris will join fellow former players Roy Smalley and Tim Laudner in providing pre-game and post-game analysis for games on cable affiliate Fox Sports North. Morris will also fill in as an in-game color announcer when Bert Blyleven is not scheduled to work, and he’ll co-host a Sunday morning radio show on the franchise’s flagship FM network K-TWIN.

Morris spent seven seasons in a similar capacity with the Twins from 2005 through 2011. In 2013, he was the radio analyst for Toronto Blue Jays broadcasts.

The 58-year-old Morris missed out on election to the Hall of Fame earlier this month in his final time on the ballot.
