MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Donors have pushed West Virginia University to 95 percent of its current fundraising goal with two years left in the so-called “State of Minds” campaign.
WVU says alumni and other supporters have given a total of $716 million as of Dec. 31.
The goal is $750 million by Dec. 31, 2015.
WVU Foundation President Cindi Roth says it’s important to keep the campaign’s momentum going. She says the university’s needs in order to achieve its long-term strategic plan far exceed the $750 million goal.
