LOGAN, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Supreme Court has declined to consider an appeal by a man convicted of killing his estranged wife, who was found strangled in a septic tank.

The Logan Daily News (https://bit.ly/1cZ2e5P ) reports William Inman II had turned to the high court after a state appeals court affirmed his conviction.

He had sought a new trial, saying the prosecution didn’t disclose a prior conviction of a witness. The appeals court said the disclosure to the defense wasn’t required.

Inman still could appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

He was convicted of aggravated murder and other charges in southeast Ohio’s Hocking County and was sentenced to life in prison for the 2011 slaying of 25-year-old Summer Inman.

His parents also are serving prison sentences on similar charges in the case.
