CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Senior Brian Williams scored 25 points while setting two career records to lead Jacksonville State to a 71-59 win over Austin Peay on Thursday.

Williams became the all-time leader in starts (89) and minutes played (3,431) for the Gamecocks (10-13, 4-4 Ohio Valley) while matching his career high for points. He also had 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Darion Rackley added 15 points, D.J. Felder 11 and Avery Moore 10.

Jacksonville State, which led 35-23 at halftime, hit 17 of 18 free throws to get its first win at Austin Peay’s Dunn Center.

Will Triggs had 16 points and Chris Horton 11 with 5 blocks for Austin Peay (8-12, 2-4).

The Gamecocks used 14 turnovers by Austin Peay to score 21 points, while the Governors only got 12 points off Jacksonville State’s miscues. The Governors also made just 14 of 27 free throws.
