CNN is preparing to air a special on the “roller-coaster life” of Justin Bieber following his arrest for DUI on Thursday in South Florida, the Hollywood Reporter said.

A Miami judge set a $2,500 bond for the pop star and charged him with drag racing, driving under the influence and resisting arrest.

Police said he was pulled over for speeding and Mr. Bieber admitted to them that he had been drinking, smoking marijuana and taking prescription medication, The Associated Press reported.

“Justin Bieber’s Wild Ride” will “take a look at the roller-coaster life of the pop star, from his No. 1 hits to his tabloid exploits and recent brushes with the law, culminating in Thursday’s arrest in Miami,” CNN correspondent Nischelle Turner told the Hollywood Reporter.

The show is scheduled to air Friday night at 10 p.m.

People immediately began taking to Twitter after an announcement for the TV special flashed across CNN’s screen during a report on Mr. Bieber.

“BIEBER’S TROUBLES: A CNN SPECIAL REPORT. I swear to God,” tweeted Time columnist James Poniewozik, linking to a screenshot of the announcement.

“Every single story above the https://CNN.com fold right now is Bieber-related. Including BREAKING banner,” wrote Capital New York reporter Alex Weprin.

“MSNBC, CNN, HLN open hour with Bieber. Fox News covers deep-dive numbers on issues in new Obama poll,” wrote Breitbart News reporter Nick Nolte.
