Parnell’s wife, mother aunt attend speech

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - A major theme of Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell’s State of the State speech Wednesday night involved the term “Alaska strong.”

And Parnell says three strong Alaska women, all close to his heart, were at the Capitol in Juneau to hear him deliver the speech.

Parnell’s wife, first lady Sandy Parnell, attended along with the governor’s mother, Thelma Parnell, and his beloved aunt, Jeannie Zimmerman.
