NEW YORK (AP) - Branden Frazier scored all 22 of his points in the second half as Fordham got its first conference win of the season Wednesday night against George Mason 76-70.

Jon Severe added 21 points for Fordham (8-10, 1-4 Atlantic 10) which used an 8-2 run to go ahead 68-62 with 2:31 left to play. The Rams made 6 of 8 free throws to hold off George Mason from there.

Fordham had trailed by 11 in the first half and pulled to within 31-30 at the break, but fell behind again 46-36 in the second. Bryan Smith’s 3-pointer with 8:32 left gave Fordham a 51-50 lead and the Rams never trailed again, though George Mason tied the game at 58 and 60.

Sherrod Wright had 21 points and eight rebounds for Mason (7-12, 0-5). Bryon Allen had 13 points, Erik Copes had 10, and Jalen Jenkins added nine points and 11 rebounds.
