An al Qaeda attack on the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv on Wednesday was thwarted by Israeli authorities.
The “involved” plot was put together by al Qaeda recruiters from Syria who were in Israel with passports and IDs from East Jerusalem, Fox News reported.
The three suicide bombers had hatched a plan with one terrorist attacking the Jerusalem convention center, while the other two struck the U.S. Embassy.
Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency, arrested three Palestinians it says were recruited by operatives working for al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, Fox News reported.
