BALTIMORE (AP) - The Maryland Transportation Authority is warning of high winds and possible white-outs on the Bay Bridge between Annapolis and Stevensville.

The agency says snow, driven by winds of up to 39 mph, could obscure drivers’ vision and cause periodic traffic holds.

The wind warning means operators of house trailers, box trailers, motorcycles and vehicles carrying cargo on their roofs should use caution while crossing the bridge.

The transportation authority says anyone who doesn’t need to travel should stay off the roads.
