WASHINGTON (AP) - While the Smithsonian Institution’s museums on the National Mall opened as usual, despite the snowstorm, they are now closing early.
The Smithsonian says all museums will close at 4 p.m. Tuesday due to the weather. The Smithsonian’s National Zoo has been closed all day, though essential staff are on duty for animal care.
Evening classes and events scheduled at the Smithsonian have been canceled.
