RENO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities say a 36-year-old Reno man is dead after being hit by a car.

Police say the man was crossing North Virginia Street at Moraine Way about 10 p.m. Monday when he was hit by a Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Authorities say the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t yet been released.

Officials say the 23-year-old man driving the Mitsubishi stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police say alcohol and speed don’t appear to be factors in the crash.
