CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Fremont County that killed a Cody man.

The patrol reports that 75-year-old Gerald J. Haugen of Cody was killed when his vehicle was struck head-on by a pickup truck that crossed the center line just before 5 p.m. Friday.

Haugen was eastbound on Wyoming Highway 28, about 34 miles east of Farson, when he was hit by the westbound pickup. A passenger in his vehicle was hospitalized.

The Highway Patrol identifies the pickup driver as 52-year-old David S. Hoyt of Apache Junction, Ariz. The patrol states that Hoyt was cited for driving while under suspension, failure to maintain his vehicle within a single lane and no proof of insurance.
