CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago area commuters say they’ve had enough with the cold.
National Weather Service forecasters say the high in Chicago is expected to be 10 degrees on Tuesday with wind chills forecast as low as 6 degrees below zero and wind gusts of up to 20 mph.
Metra commuter Lucy McDaniel says she was late for her usual 6:04 a.m. train from the south suburb of Homewood because of road conditions. She tells the Southtown Star that (https://bit.ly/1hJ6FXv ) she’s very tired of the recent bout of cold weather.
The cold weather is expected to stretch through Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued wind chill advisories for areas around Galesburg, Pekin and Peoria.
