BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - Brunswick officials are acknowledging it’s too hard to hear at City Hall.
The Florida Times-Union reports (https://bit.ly/1cNC2Lo ) the historic courtroom where City Commission meetings are held has long been plagued by terrible acoustics. City Manager Bill Weeks says even he misses a lot of what’s said during public meetings.
Complaints from residents have led the city to take action. Local officials have hired a local business to install a new sound system at a cost of $3,400.
City officials say the contractor, iMint Media, has provided sound amplification at past town hall meetings in the room and should know how to tackle its quirky acoustics.
