BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Barcelona club president Sandro Rosell says he would be “delighted” to appear before a Spanish judge considering whether or not to hear a lawsuit regarding the transfer cost for Brazil striker Neymar.
Rosell says the cost of 57 million euros (then $74 million) announced last June at Neymar’s presentation is correct.
Club member Jordi Cases is the author of the lawsuit that alleges the cost was higher. A judge has asked Barcelona for Neymar’s contract and other financial papers as he weighs hearing the lawsuit.
Rosell says “we respect all the contracts we sign, that’s why I would be delighted for the judge to summon me for questioning so I can explain all the questions related to the contract.”
