LONDON (AP) - British police say they have detained a man at a London airport on suspicion of terrorism offenses.
Scotland Yard says officers stopped the 21-year-old man at Stansted Airport on Sunday night after he returned to the U.K. from Istanbul.
Police said Monday the arrest was not in response to any immediate threat.
The man, who remains in custody, is the latest among a number of people to be arrested by counter-terrorism officers at British airports in recent days.
On Sunday, two men who were arrested at Heathrow Airport were charged with traveling to Syria intending to commit terrorism. A third man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of attending a terrorist training camp in Syria.
European officials are concerned about domestic threats posed by fighters returning from Syria.
