OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A Red Flag fire warning remains in effect in much of Oklahoma as the National Weather Service predicts warm, dry and windy conditions across the state.
More than 40 of the state’s 77 counties are under the warning and burn bans are in effect in Canadian, Cotton, Pittsburg, and Stephens counties.
The weather service says temperatures are expected in the 60s and 70s with winds of 20 to 25 miles per hour and humidity readings of 15 percent or below that would help any fire that beings to spread rapidly.
