ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP) - Maurice Creek scored 21 points to lift George Washington over St. Bonaventure 79-71 on Saturday.

The Colonials (15-3, 3-1 Atlantic 10) got 17 points from Kethan Savage and Kevin Larsen added 15 points and eight boards. GW shot 47 percent from the floor, including 9 of 19 on 3-pointers.

Andell Cumberbatch led the Bonnies (11-7, 1-3) with 15 points, while Youssou Ndoye added 14 points and eight rebounds, Jordan Gathers had 12 and Dion Wright chipped in with 11. St. Bonaventure shot 38 percent overall and made 7 of 26 from beyond the arc.

George Washington led by eight with 5:03 left in the first, but Wright’s 3-pointer with 1:07 left cut the lead to one and the Bonnies trailed 30-29 at intermission.

The teams were tied at 42 with 10:48 left in the game, but GW slowly pulled away, building a 14-point lead down the stretch.
